Callers can access recorded information 24-hours a day on general visa inquiries. Please note that there is a fee of 1,35 euro for the first minute plus VAT and 0,34 euro for each additional minute plus VAT.

Within the United States, you may also call the State Department's Visa Services' Public Inquiries Branch at 202-663-1225. This number has recorded information with an option to speak with a visa specialist during most business hours. Please note that this is a toll call.

Problems at U.S. Border

People who feel they were mistreated by an immigration officer, or wish to make a complaint of misconduct by an immigration officer may follow instructions available on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website.

Although Consular Services are not entitled to respond directly to complaint letters, comments and observations will be forwarded to the above address for appropriate action.
