American Aid Society/Fingerprints
The American Aid Society will provide fingerprint services only for U.S. citizens on appointment.
Please call 01 43 12 27 73 to set an appointment. (closed on French and American Holidays) Please note: This service is only available for U.S. Citizens.
*Please note that people living outside of Paris can still go to their local police station to have their fingerprints taken.
Personal Request for FBI Criminal History
Prepare your written request with:
- The enclosed FBI form (ref FD-258) with your fingerprints on it
- Your return mailing address
- A photocopy of a picture ID (preferably a U.S. driver's license)
- A letter stating the purpose of the record check
- The required fee of $18.00 ($24.00 for U.S. immigrant visa applications) which must be submitted in the form of a certified check or money order, payable to the Treasury of the U.S. You may contact American Express at 01-47-77-77-07 to purchase a money order
