Certain U.S. Citizen Services are also available at the Consulates General in Strasbourg and Marseille.  Please contact the specific office in order to obtain office hours for required appointments.

U.S. Passport Validity for Travel to France

You should have at least six months’ passport validity prior to the expiration date whenever you travel to France.

If your passport does not meet the Schengen requirements, you may be refused boarding by the airline at your point of origin or while transferring planes.  You could also be denied entry when you arrive in the Schengen area.
