Fees and Payment Methods at the U.S. Consulate General Marseille
Passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad
Fee Shedule
- Passports renewals for adults $75 or the euro equivalent (by mail procedure download our credit card authorization form)
- Passports for minors under the age of 16: $85 or the euro equivalent.
- All other passport applications except change of name and added pages: $100 or the euro equivalent.
- Change of name requested within one year after issuance of passport: NO FEE
- Change of name requested more than one year after issuance of passport: $75 or the euro equivalent.
- Additional visa pages: NO FEE
- Consular Reports of Birth Abroad: $65 or the euro equivalent.
Payment of Fees
Payment of consular fees may be made in dollars or euros with a major credit card or cash. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards.
For payment in cash, please bring the exact change on the day of your appointment in Marseille.
For payment in euros, you may also use a postal money order (“mandat-cash”) available at all French post offices. For appropriate euro amounts, please refer to the consular services exchange rate on our website page: france.usembassy.gov/ucs_exchangerate.html. A service fee will be charged by the French post office for this form.
The “mandat-cash” should be made out to the order of the “Consulat Général des Etats-Unis.”
We do not accept any personal checks.
