Green Card Abandonment
If you want to abandon your Legal Permanent Resident status and abandon your Green Card, please email us at ParisLPR-ReturningResidentAppts@state.gov for an appointment. In preparation for your appointment, please download the I-407 form and complete only those items that are highlighted in yellow.
You must also present your Alien Resident Card ("green card"), a valid passport and your re-entry permit (if applicable). French or other national identification cards are not accepted in place of a passport.
