The DoD approved hotel will be the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, located adjacent to the Paris Opera House in the center of Paris.  To ensure that a room will be available, all requests for lodging should be booked NLT 01 April 2010 using the hotel supplied registration form which can be accessed by clicking on this link (Hotel IC Le Grand Accommodation Request Form) or from the main ODC webpage.  Bus transportation to and from the show will be provided for those staying at the DoD approved hotel, with priority given to military personnel in uniform.  Please check our website frequently for trade show updates to include updates on access badge information, hotel reservations, etc.

Continue to check this website for the latest information regarding availability of hotel reservation for US DoD Eurosatory 2010 guests.  The hotel will notify ODC through the US Embassy Travel and Visitors Unit of your pending reservation.  

The normal tourist season fills Paris hotels to capacity, often resulting in a doubling of prices.  Paris per-diem rates as of DEC 2009 are $326 for lodging and $191 for meals and incidentals ($153 +$38).  The current rates can be found here: Per Diem Rates. The current exchange rate for US currency to Euros can be found by using the following link http://www.x-rates.com   Hotels in the center of Paris can be expected to cost between $500 and $900. The Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency is expected to approve an Actual Expense Allowance (AEA) for lodging during Eurosatory 2010 in excess of the standard per diem rate.  This is expected to be in effect in Paris from one week prior to the show through 1 week following the show.

Check-in will be assisted at the hotel on Sunday, 13 June with the presence of an ODC Welcome desk in the lobby.  This should facilitate your check-in and provide the opportunity to acquire up-to-date information regarding the show. 

Check-in time for hotels in Paris is typically 1500.  Most US transatlantic flights arrive between 0600 and 0900.  If your flight has you arriving in the early morning and you desire to go directly to your hotel room, you will likely be required to pay for the full day prior and inform the hotel that you will be a late check-in for the previous day.  Therefore, if you choose not to reserve your room for the extra day, be prepared to wait until 1500 to check-in.  In order to be reimbursed for the extra day, it must be authorized on your orders.   Please review your reservations and ensure that all of your staff and other support lodging needs have been covered and that the dates your reserved match your most recent travel plans.
