Foreign Agricultural Service

The Foreign Agricultural Service, headed by the Minister-Counselor for Agricultural Affairs, represents and promotes U.S. agricultural interests in France. This Section, which is the liaison between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Ministère de l’Agriculture, de la Pêche et de l’Alimentation), monitors and reports on France's agricultural production, consumption and trade trends, as well as any unfair trade practices. The Section also conducts market development and trade promotion activities to expand U.S. food and agricultural exports to France.
