Embassy Celebrates Franco-American Culinary Ties

In keeping with the Thanksgiving season, a multifaceted event at the Ambassador’s residence explored the way that food has enhanced the French-American relationship.  This "Friendship through Food" event included panel discussions, an art exhibit with paintings on bakery papers by an American artist, fine silverware from both countries, and a buffet featuring American products such as cranberries, grapefruits, almonds, crab, meat and wines in original recipes.  The audience gathered 120 food writers, chefs, scholars, importers, restaurant owners and others dedicated to the Franco-American food relationship.
