Ambassadorial Celebration of French Regional and American Museum Exchange

On the occasion the tenth anniversary of FRAME and its annual conference, Ambassador Stapleton hosted a dinner at his Residence. The hundred guests included FRAME President and guest of honor Elizabeth Rohatyn, former U.S. Ambassador to France Felix Rohatyn, new director of French museums Marie-Christine Labourdette, directors of member museums, distinguished alumni, major funders, members of the Board of Trustees, and Ministry of Culture officials. FRAME is a coalition of 12 American art museums and 12 French regional fine arts museums that foster cooperation in the cultural arena, through the organization of exhibits travelling across the Atlantic. It is a nonprofit organization that is considered a model of cultural diplomacy and contributes to building understanding between French and American citizens. The annual conference, in addition to exploring future projects, took place as a traveling event with visits to the collections in Tours and Dijon.
