Daniel Pearl World Music Days concert at the Ambassador’s Residence
October 28, 2008
On the occasion of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days, well-respected American jazzman from Philadelphia Ted Curson and his quartet (piano Tom McClung, bass Peter Giron, drums Doug Sides) performed at the Ambassador’s Residence for a full house of young, up and coming French and American leaders who appreciated a unique opportunity to expand their networks. Representatives from the Daniel Pearl Foundation included President for France Thierry Lachkar who read a message from Daniel Pearl’s father Judea, and Sybille Ktorza (sister-in-law of Marianne Pearl) who read a message from Marianne Pearl. Ted Curson performed a series of concerts in Paris to promote jazz music in France. Leslie Caron also attended this moving and enjoyable tribute.
