Ambassador and Mrs. Stapleton Visit French-American Museum at Blerancourt

In front of approximately 300 invited guests, Madame Evelyne Ratte, Prefect of the Aisne Department, and Ambassador Stapleton took up the honorary spade to mark the start of the project. Officials from the Ministry of Culture, Museums of France, the American and French Friends of Blerancourt, mayors of Blerancourt and nearby towns, school children and the media attended the event. The museum will re-open in 2008 with expanded exhibition space to showcase its rich holdings on the two nation's shared cultural and historical legacies.
